Kites to release in over 2300 screens worldwide

Reliance BIG Pictures plans biggest ever release for an Indian film globally

Mumbai, 17th May, 2010: Reliance BIG Pictures and Rakesh Roshan’s eagerly awaited romantic film ‘Kites’ will release on 21st May 2010 in over 2300 screens worldwide. Of these over 1800 screens are in India and over 500 screens overseas, making ‘Kites’ the biggest ever Indian release till date globally.

In its first phase, ‘Kites’ will release in India, US, UK, UAE, Australia, South Africa and 30 other countries on 21st May. In the second phase, it will release in additional 30 countries, which include various non-traditional markets. Starring Hrithik Roshan with Mexican actress Barbara Mori in an intensely romantic story directed by Anurag Basu, ‘Kites’ is a one-of-its kind film produced in India, with Reliance BIG Pictures executing the marketing and release of the film on a truly international scale. Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori, Rakesh Roshan, Rajesh Roshan, Anurag Basu and Brett Ratner have travelled to New York and London for the promotion of Kites with Barbara Mori and Brett Ratner doing additional promotion in Miami and Los Angeles.

Brands such as Reliance Mobile, BIG FM, Acer, Provogue, Zapak, Bookmyshow and Ibibo have participated in the marketing and promotion activities of ‘Kites’. The film is being aggressively marketed with an innovative and extensive outdoor, TV, print and online campaign to ensure maximum visibility.
